Midnight Visitor
Yo sup! This story is a bit short. It’s about last year’s summer. My school had holidays, so I didn’t have to wake up early in the morning. One such night, I was working on my laptop. I think it was around 2 or 3 AM. I had been sitting in my windowless room for quite a while. The air in the room felt suffocating, so I thought I’ll take a short walk in the courtyard of my house.
I came out of my room and started walking towards the courtyard. To go to the courtyard, there’s a mesh door in my house, which we never lock. When I reached that door, I looked outside and saw that everything was silent. My neighbor had turned off the light outside their house. Maybe it was a full moon night, because even though it was dark, the moonlight was still lighting up the courtyard.
Next to my courtyard, there’s a staircase that goes up to the roof. On the other side of the courtyard, there’s a wall almost 5 feet tall. When I went to open the door, I saw something that made me panic hard. I had no clue what just happened.
I saw something like a monkey suddenly come down from the staircase, cross the courtyard super fast, and jump over the wall into the street. All this happened in just one second. I couldn’t get a proper look, but I can say for sure it was big in size. It had four quick legs and a pretty big head too. Maybe it was a monkey, but if it was, then why did it come down the stairs? It could’ve just jumped from my roof to another roof. And why did it only cross the empty courtyard and run away through the street?
I ran to the front room, opened the door, and looked at the street. There was no one. Everything was silent, and the whole street was empty.
ये कहानी थोड़ी छोटी है, बात है पिछले साल की गर्मियों की, मेरे स्कूल की वेकेशन थी तो सुबह जल्दी उठने का कोई जोर नहीं था। ऐसे ही एक दिन मैं रात में अपने लैपटॉप पर कुछ काम कर रहा था, मेरे हिसाब से शायद दो या तीन बज रहे होंगे। अपने बिना खिड़की के कमरे में बैठे हुए मुझे काफी समय हो गया था, कमरे में हवा घुटन भरी लग रही थी तो सोचा कि अपने घर के आंगन में थोड़ा टहल कर आ जाऊं। तो मैं अपने कमरे से बाहर निकला और आंगन की तरफ चल दिया। आंगन में जाने के लिए मेरे घर में एक जालीदार दरवाजा था, जिसमें कभी ताला नहीं लगाया जाता था। तो मैं जब उस दरवाजे के पास पहुंचा तो मैंने उससे बाहर देखा कि बाहर सन्नाटा पसरा हुआ था, मेरे पड़ोसी ने घर के बाहर का बल्ब बंद कर दिया था। शायद वो रात पूर्णिमा की रात थी क्योंकि पूरी तरह अंधेरा होने के बावजूद चांद की रोशनी आंगन में आ रही थी। मेरे घर के आंगन के बगल में जीना था जो कि मेरे घर की छत पे जाता था और आंगन के दूसरी तरफ एक लगभग 5 फीट की ऊंची दीवार थी। तो मैं जब वो दरवाजा खोलने पहुंचा तो मैंने एक ऐसा मंजर देखा जिसे देखकर मैं बहुत ही ज्यादा घबरा गया। कुछ समझ ही नहीं आया कि हुआ तो हुआ क्या। मैंने देखा कि एक बंदर जैसा जीव तेजी से मेरे घर के जीने से उतरा और आंगन पार करके उस दीवार के बाहर गली में कूद गया। और ये सब मात्र एक सेकंड के अंदर हुआ। मैं उसे ज्यादा गौर से तो नहीं देख पाया लेकिन इतना जरूर कह सकता हूं कि वो आकार में बड़ा था, उसके चार फुर्तीले पैर थे और सिर भी काफी बड़ा था। हो सकता है कि वो शायद बंदर हो, लेकिन अगर वो बंदर था तो उसे जीने से नीचे आने की क्या जरूरत थी? वो मेरी छत से किसी और की छत पे भी तो कूद सकता था। और खाली आंगन पार करके उसने गली के रास्ते ही भागना क्यों चाहा? मैंने भाग कर सबसे बाहर वाले कमरे में गया और दरवाजा खोलकर गली को देखने लगा। बाहर कोई नहीं था, सन्नाटा पसरा हुआ था और पूरी गली खाली थी।
